Dashboard Tour: Where Everything Lives

June 8, 2026 · 2 min read

🚀

The first time you open the dashboard it can feel crowded. Once you understand the logic, though, every menu maps to a specific job. In this tour we'll walk the WallArtTools dashboard area by area so you always know where to go for what.

Connection and Sync

Everything starts with connecting your Etsy shop. After you connect via OAuth, your orders and listings sync automatically about every 6 hours. On first setup:

  • Connect your Etsy account and finish authorization.
  • Wait for the first sync to complete and confirm your listing and order counts populate.
  • If you run more than one shop, keep cross-store upload in mind.

Because sync is automatic, you don't need to check manually every day. But if you just added a listing, you can keep working without waiting for the next sync.

Upload and Listing Generation

The upload section on the left is the heart of the workflow. You can upload a single image, in bulk (e.g. 50 at once), or cross-store. Orientation (vertical/horizontal/square) is auto-detected, so the right variation profile kicks in.

  • Upload the image; AI generates a title, tags, and description for free.
  • Emphasized words you set in Store Parameters are prioritized by the AI, while banned words are never used and are stripped from the text.
  • If a Mockup series is linked in the Profile Mockups tab, scenes build automatically during upload.

AI art and AI room mockups cost 15 credits per image, and failed generations are refunded. Title/tag/description generation is free.

Variations, Mockups, and Parameters

Whether your listings look consistent depends on getting these three areas right.

  • Variation profiles hold sizes, frames (black/white/gold/wood), and the Size x Frame price matrix for each orientation.
  • The mockup editor lets you place art with perspective and choose frames per scene.
  • A Mockup Creator "series" is an ordered set of scenes plus info images; linked to a profile, uploads feed from it automatically.
  • Under Store Parameters you manage title style, materials, stock, and mockup scaling in one place.

This area also holds Attributes (Etsy taxonomy), Description templates (the default is appended as a footer), Translations (1 credit per language), and Videos.

Orders and Production

When an order lands, you move to the Orders section. Search, calendar, ship deadlines, print files, and labels all live here.

  • Ship from the panel: it marks the order shipped on Etsy and notifies the buyer.
  • Use CSV transfer for bulk handoffs.
  • Send paid orders to a manufacturer through the production network; statuses move Queued -> In production -> Ready -> Shipped. Cancellation and compensation requests are managed here too.

Marketing, Finance, and Analytics

As your shop grows, the analytics and marketing tools on the right take over. SEO refresh, A/B title tests, keyword and trend research, Pinterest auto-pin, and auto Ken Burns video live here. The Finance section shows your Etsy payment ledger, and Analytics gives you views, favorites, and conversion alongside a store audit and store comparison.

Practical takeaway: On day one, connect Etsy and set up your parameters (emphasized/banned words, variation profiles, mockup series) correctly once. After that the upload -> listing -> order -> ship flow runs almost on its own, freeing your time for new art and marketing.
